We have all experienced injustice to some degree. When we have been wronged, we have a tendency to want to retaliate. There is a time and a season for everything, as it says in Ecclesiastes chapter 3. We have to use discernment in these times we are living in. Sometimes we have to speak up, sometimes we have to remain silent. But at no point does God ask of us to harm or hurt our enemies when they have harmed and hurt us. Jesus teaches us to turn the other
cheek, to forgive, to remain kind, loving, and compassionate. To show mercy and to
be gentle. This does not mean that we are a doormat for people to walk all over. But this does mean that we need to keep our hearts and minds pure and in alignment with God’s will no matter what. God says that it is for Him to avenge us for the wrong that has been done to us. He is the
best avenger, and He does a better job than you even could. Surrender the
injustice to God, ask Him to avenge you.
