6.6.21 The atheist and the transformation

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Acts 4:10

Written by Michael Herbert

As Peter and John stood before the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, the world was shocked by the very thought that a miracle took place before their eyes. They were captivated by the very thought that the impossible had just taken place. And the Sadducees believed they had taken care of this problem that they had in the person of Jesus Christ but Peter picks up the torch and acknowledges the very fact that Jesus has gone on before them. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Vs 10. The religious rulers along with the rest of the world did not fully understand the working of the Holy Spirit and that Jesus was filled with the holy spirit with doing the work that he did but now it was our turn as believers in Christ to have you filled with the same Holy Spirit that filled Christ. Jesus said greater works shall you do that I. John 14:12 many have been mystified by that comment but simply to say that there are more of us filled with the holy spirit so there was Christ and then as long as we are filled with the holy spirit of God and the church as a whole field with a body of Christ that we would be able to reproduce and do the same things that Christ did.

To the atheist and to those who do not believe in the power of God the very testimony of the man who was healed at the gate beautiful is a testimony that can not be refuted. it is the work of a man or woman who has a transformed life who, as the lame man was completely changed, The transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit. No person who is in Christ claimed that they had anything to do what’s the transformed life other than to accept the free gift that was offered by Christ. The supernatural takes place by the grace of God and that was not ourselves. Although man constantly looks for alternatives to the void that’s in their heart, Yet it’s not until Jesus steps into the equation that a person is transformed. An atheist can look at a saved man or a woman and may come up with manly scientific and philosophical arguments for what has just happened yet it is still a mystery, it is still a miracle of God. It is nothing other than being transformed by the power of God.

Peter said it correctly,  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.vs 12

Your testimony is what’s most important.  It’s showing the Lost World the power of God. The world itself uses testimonies all of the time in advertising. So the lost world knows the power of testimonies. Our testimony of what God has done within us is unique to Who we are in the end. Our testimony is the unique work of the Holy Spirit within our lives. We cannot boost or brag about the transformed life as if we had anything to do with it, however, we obviously and must be compelled to be boosters of the one who did the work within us. As it is fresh within our minds to be able to write down the work of the Lord within us we demonstrate to the world the Jesus indeed is real and that the very God who created all things is indeed real and that there is no doubt if a man or woman honestly looks within themselves and puts away the foolishness of this world the nature of a Redeemer and only  Godhead who can transform lives. People may think they have changed on their own, but it still is God’s grace that changes. If God spoke the world into existence by his very word as Genesis tells us then what would be so difficult for God to transform a  life that is already living? As the testimony of the lame man rightly says, I was lame I could not walk but these men came along and healed me. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:8 Is it interesting that the lame man knew that it was God who healed him. there was no one else that he gave credit to nor could he give credit to.  he did not boast of himself or thinking that some unknown god of the Gentiles brought healing to him on that very day, but it was indeed the living God of all creation who stepped down from heaven in the person of Jesus Christ and brought with him Redemption to mankind and healed the very thing that mankind could never do on their own.
