12.22.18 I am with you always

And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:20

I am with you always

For the young child who has just gained the courage to have his or her training wheels taken off and ride the with their friends whom already had their wheels off this would be a big moment in life. Many thoughts flood the child’s mind and try to sway their confidence that either they can or may not seceded. Confidence, however, starts to grow as the young child sees their friends can ride without their training wheels, so should I. A wise mother or father would be able to sense it is the time, but be there when the child is ready to take off on their first journey, knowing it may not go so well at the first.

This memory seems never to be lost in the mind of either the parent nor the child. God acts in a similar fashion God walks through our trials with us. Sometimes to build trust he is at the living room window watching out or he is on the sidewalk holding on so we don’t fall. He is always there. Even when we think we are good enough on our own he is still there to catch us when we fall.

Recently I had to have a CT scan at the hospital. I was nervous as I sat in the cold room waiting for the lab tech to turn on the machine. God spoke to me so clearly that he was there and not to worry. Right away there was a relief that came over me because I knew Daddy God was there with me. I was not alone. I knew that whatever was going to happen would only happen if he allowed it.
