And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:12

A Still Soft Voice

Written by Michael Herbert

I had heard about a new Jason Upton song that dealt with walking with God. Elijah had been speaking to the Lord regarding his current situation, only to find the Lord wasn’t responding the way he’d like. The Bible goes on to say the Lord wasn’t going through the fleshly elements of the earth, but rather in a soft still voice. I asked why a soft still voice?  The Lords reply was simple, so you stay walking close to me and are able to hear me whisper what I need to tell you in your ears. The farther you walk away from me the harder it is to hear my voice.
