Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Romans 6:6

The Old Man

Written by Michael Herbert

Once we receive the Holy Spirit into our bodies as part of the inheritance we have with the eternal God. We also are told He, The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. God is not wanting to change our old nature, but to crucify it. The Old Man which both men and women carry into a relationship is to be no longer thought of a way of life, but on the contrary, useless. God does not want to fix which is old and decapitated. The old nature we had is corrupted and profits us nothing, but trouble and misery. God wants to start us our fresh in a new man or new nature when we come to Christ. He does not want to waste the precious resources on an old wineskin that is destined to fall apart. He wants to furnish the new man with all the possibilities of heaven.
