Choices

Michael Herbert

Choices are made every day, sometimes by the minute. While some may be simple and not require much prayer. Wouldn’t it be great if we included God in all of our decisions? I know some people who pray even before they drive away in their car. It’s not that they don’t know how to drive, it’s the unknown we face in life. It’s always good to include God in everything that we do.

Some choices are sort of cut and dry, while others, may include taking a piece of paper and writing the pros and con’s down and see which one weighs out. All you know is that you are faced with a situation that requires a choice, and you are not hearing from Heaven. The Bible says to seek Godly counsel, but your friends and closest relatives are telling you that they trust you with whatever you decide. With that being said, you are still torn about what choice to make, and God is not answering you, What do you do?

Look for God to give you subtle hints, either verbally or illustrated. Remember, the voice of the Holy Ghost is a soft still voice. Maybe it will take being quiet to hear God speak. You may say “God if it’s not your will please don’t it be done”. God knows all things and my mind is way too limited to know the choices outside of God. If we step out in faith, then God will walk with us. His word is a light unto my path. If you will meditate on his word and trust God and lean not on your own understanding, then the answer will come and peace will flood your soul.
