12.12 Burying your Treasure part 2

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
Matthew 25:18

Written by Michael Herbert

The third man missed out on the blessings that would’ve come to him if he would have Activated his faith. The world is full of those who are “almost”. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.(vs26-28)

At the very least, with a minimal amount of faith, you would have at least broken even with your efforts. It wouldn’t have been much. What an indictment on the third man who buried his treasure. Full of excuses and not willing to do more than mere existence. However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. Ephesians 4:7 NLT also to many they have been given multiple gifts.  As you step out in faith to do what the Lord has called you to do your hidden gifts become alive in the public area.

” You are what you do, not what you’ll say you’ll do.”

Carl Jung

Perhaps you were in a church and walked away out of a very bad situation. The Lord Jesus calls you to step out again in a church that will appreciate your gifts. Ask God to lead you to a church that could use you. Believe me, there are pastors who are pleading with God to have you come with your treasure and talents. Never ever underestimate the value you bring to the church body. Never think it doesn’t matter because it does. Do you risk being burned again, Yes however the reward is unlimited by finding a hungry church who will honor and appreciate your gift. Don’t bury your treasure but ask the Holy Spirit to ignite those talents and in return glory God.
